2022 - A Year in Review

We’ve had quite the year at Speed Medical, and what better time to reflect on a fantastic 2022 than during the run up to Christmas! We’re extremely proud of our incredible team and everything we’ve achieved this year, and we look forward to an equally exciting 2023!

January saw Caroline, Sam, and Sharon become directors here at Speed Medical. They have all excelled in their new roles this year and their hard work as directors has helped Speed to keep moving in the right direction! 

In March we attended the ‘I Love Claims Motor Claims’ networking lunch as well as the Customer Service Excellence awards where we were shortlisted in the Best Customer-centric Culture category which is a huge achievement that we’re incredibly proud of.

Don retired in April and has been missed very much since, but we’re assured he’s very much enjoying his retirement!

May was an extremely busy month full of parties, conferences and awards! We attended the Insurance Times Claims Excellence awards, the Legal Futures PI Futures conference, a birthday gathering for the Association of Consumer Support Organisations (ACSO), and the BIBA conference. We also celebrated our 24th birthday!

In June we launched our shiny new website, James took part in the Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride in aid of The Christie hospital, and we held our annual summer party with a fab theme of ‘dancing through the decades’.

In July we took part in the Brake charity golf day which was a huge amount of fun and rounded off our summer nicely.

In September we were extremely proud to be shortlisted for Medicolegal Provider of the Year and Rehab Provider of the Year at the Claims Media Personal Injury Awards and threw on our glad rags to attend the awards do in November.

October was the handl Group annual conference where we got to mingle with lots of other handl Group employees and hear exciting updates about the company. We also celebrated Halloween with lots of spooky fun, games, and competitions among staff.

In November we kicked off our Christmas card competition in aid of Suicide & Co. We work hard to raise money and awareness for our chosen charities throughout the whole year but believe it’s even more important during the festive season.

We also got an early Christmas present when we found out our employee engagement platform ‘Speedway’ won the Engagement Team of the Year Award at the Engagement Excellence Awards!

Looking back on all of our achievements this year makes us incredibly proud and very grateful to our amazing team who work so hard to make Speed Medical the fantastic company it is. We wouldn’t be where we are without our people, and we hope everyone at Speed Medical has a very merry Christmas and a fabulous new year!
